Dr. Mariela Massó Reid
Research Associate at the University of Glasgow in the School of Physics and Astronomy. She’s a member of the Institute of Gravitational Wave Research. She’s worked on measuring the thermal conductivity of silicon and silicon bonded samples at very cold temperatures (8 K that’s -265.15 °C). She is currently the project manager for two projects involving LIGO India and the GrEAT network (collaboration between researchers in the U.K and China).
She is from Venezuela, loves reading books, loves animals, all things vegan and spending time with her beautiful family =D
